The DeepStacks Season Championship (DSC) is an exclusive, invite-only tournament marking the culmination of a 4-month season of free-to-play bar poker. Because DeepStacks is an official regional affiliate of the Bar Poker Open (BPO), the event serves as a major gateway for recreational players to win cash and secure seats at massive world championships.
How to Qualify
Players cannot buy directly into the Season Championship; entry must be earned through regular nightly league play throughout the 4-month season. Players can qualify via the following achievements:
- Consistent Top Finishes: Consistently finishing in the top 20% of nightly events accumulate points for Regional and Venue Leaderboards. The Top 20 (Region), The Top 5 or 10 (dependant on if a venue host one or two games per week)
Prize Breakdown
The Season Championship features a structured prize pool combining cash payouts with prestigious national tournament entries:
- Cash Payouts: The prize pool is $1,000 cash. The cash payouts are distributed among the Top 3 finishers (e.g., $500 for 1st, $300 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd). Players at the final table are allowed to reach a deal that alters the standard payouts.
- Bar Poker Open Championship Invites: The top 9 finishers also win invitations to represent the league at the BPO World Championships. These championship events (hosted at venues like the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, the Borgata in Atlantic City, and Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach) feature massive prize pools reaching up to $400,000, with a guaranteed $100,000 first-place prize in Las Vegas.
